All of our teachers are passionate about music and the development of children.

They create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development.

Kandi has been a Music Educator since 2002. She received her Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Louisiana State University and later received her Master of Music Education from Mcneese State University with a Kodaly emphasis. She has been state certified in both Louisiana and Florida and has taught public school music for ages preschool through High school as well as a Fine Arts instructor for the local University. 

Kandi completed her Music Together training in 2011 and  has been the Director/Owner of Music Together of Leesville since its inception in 2011. She directs the Patriot choir and teaches Elementary Music at Faith Training Christian Academy part time, and is a full time wife, and mother of three sweet babies ages 3, 5, and 7.

Heather is currently working towards an Early Elementary Education degree at Northwestern State University. She is the second oldest of ten children and has been teaching music and movement informally since 2010. Heather completed her Music Together® training in 2013 and has been teaching classes at several locations for the past four years.

In addition to teaching Music Together®, she is on staff at First Assembly Christian Academy and has taught as a lead teacher in their preschool program and is currently teaching Elementary General Music & band.  Heather and her husband are parents to a precious baby boy who loves to attend music class.

TaraKay Greenlee is passionate about music and its effects on an individual. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Vocal emphasis from Southern Utah University. Currently she is working on an equivalency degree online for Music Therapy at Saint Mary of the Woods College in Indiana.  She teaches private voice and piano lessons, a community home in Alexandria for adults with disabilities, Music Together and other music related jobs.

TaraKay is the second youngest of five siblings, who grew up all around the world as her father served in the Army. TaraKay served a LDS Mission for 18 months in Russia, and loves learning about people, their language and their cultures.

TaraKay loves the Music Together program because it contains rich tonalities, cultural traditional music from various cultures, while strengthening the parent-child relationship and exploring the developmental stages of young children. TaraKay got her Music Together Certificate in April, 2016 and has taught in Alexandria and various locations in Leesville, Deridder, and Fort. Polk. She is married to her best friend and hopes to continue bringing music and happiness to the lives of others.
